The Reverend Becky Gunn is minister for the Unitarian Universalist Society of Bangor. She began her ministry here in August, 2008. Previously she served as Interim Minister for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Boulder, Colorado for two years. Reverend Becky received her Mastersof Divinity from the Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley California in May, 2005. She was ordained in January, 2006 by the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany where she had interned. She brings a wealth of experience in lay leadership as well as management experience in the corporate world. She worked for thirty years leading groups in strategic planning, financial analysis, distribution, sales, competitive analysis, customer service and materials planning. In her home congregation she was Chair of the Worship Associates, on the Board as President-Elect, Newsletter Editor, Long-Range Planning Chair and a member of a Search Committee. She also served on the Pacific Central District Board as Moderator for three years. Becky is divorced with one grown son who lives in California and is Department Chair and Professor of Biology at a community college. Becky loves to read, do needlework, listen to music and spend time in nature evoking her brand of poetry. Reverend Becky is committed to a deep spiritual life grounded in reflection, journaling, drawing mandalas and doing social justice work.
